Plastic Containers

Plastic containers #1-7 are accepted for recycling. This includes plastic bottles, jars, and tubs. Please rinse, and remove caps or lids before placing in recycling bins. Step on plastic containers to flatten.

Do not place Styrofoam in these bins, but other plastic #6 containers are accepted.

You can place these items in the mixed recycling bins throughout campus.

Not Accepted: any solvent or reagent containers from labs (see Lab Plastic Recycling), plastic motor-oil containers and black plastic, such as microwave trays and nursery pots.
