Background:

  • Exports: UCSC EHS handles most outgoing shipments destined for foreign countries and then passes the shipment to a carrier. Air Sea Forwarders, Inc. is used where the items are cleared through U.S. Customs and booked with a carrier for transport.
  • Imports: Air Sea Forwarders, Inc. clears incoming goods from foreign countries through U.S. Customs and notifies UCSC Receiving when material is received. UCSC Receiving or Air Sea Forwarders, Inc. will:
    • Notify departments when goods arrive
    • Request payment and delivery information
