Background:
- Exports: UCSC EH&S processes most outgoing hazardous materials shipments destined for foreign countries and then passes the shipments to a carrier. American Cargoservice, Inc. is used where the items are cleared through U.S. Customs and booked with a carrier for transport.
- Imports: American Cargoservice, Inc. clears incoming goods from foreign countries through U.S. Customs and notifies UCSC Receiving when material is received. UCSC Receiving or American Cargoservice, Inc. will:
- Notify departments when goods arrive
- Request payment and delivery information
