Community Outreach

Fire Safety and Prevention aims to educate campus staff, faculty and residents to prevent fires and injuries before they occur. Our public education staff present fire and life safety lessons to community groups of all ages, host informational booths at campus community events and works with other local agencies to promote the safety of our communities.

How to Request a Fire Safety Presentation?

Are you looking for a fire safety presentation to be presented for your group or event?

Please reach out firesafety@ucsc.edu to make a request.

Please Note: Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance to the date of your event.

Events that take place on a weekend must be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance to the date of your event.

Educational & Community Events

Fire Safety and Prevention participates in a  number of campus community events throughout the year. Our participation is limited to educational and community events only. Please be aware that our staff is on duty. Even with booked events, the possibility exists that our staff could be diverted at times. If our staff member does not arrive for your scheduled event, please call 831-459-3473 to reschedule.

Remote Education

The Fire Safety and Prevention is in an ongoing effort to continually educate campus staff, faculty and students to reduce fires and injuries on campus.
